Latest developments in Palestinian territories to take centre stage in GCC ministerial meeting: Sheikh Abdullah
Muscat, Dec. 29, 2008 (WAM) - Foreign Minister, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan has said that the latest developments in the Palestinian territories will take a centre stage during meeting of foreign ministers of member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) to prepare the agenda for the 29th GCC summit.
Sheikh Abdullah who was speaking during his arrival here yesterday to participate in the GCC Foreign Ministers meeting, said the meeting will continue with discussions on the agenda, which will be referred to the GCC leadership in preparation for the 29th GCC summit.
The UAE foreign minister was received on arrival at the airport by Omani minister for foreign affairs, Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah and other senior Omani officials and UAE Ambassador to Oman, Mohammed Ali Al-Aseemi.
The GCC foreign ministers will discuss, in addition to the latest developments in the region, issues on the agenda of the 29th GCC Summit, which opens tomorrow.
