Movement of ships in Yemeni regional waters is safe, says minister of interior
SANA'A, Dec. 28 (Saba)- Minister of Interior Mutahar Rashad al-Masri
has confirmed that the movement of ships in the Yemeni regional
waters is safe due to security plan, which was being implemented by
the ministry with the defense ministry.
In his statement to the media center of the ministry of interior,
al-Masri said that the ministry has started its plan since beginning
of December as the boats of coastguard authority are companying
ships in the regional waters.
He said that the ministry imposed to do that after growing risks of
piracy in the Arabian Sea and Indian Ocean.
Al-Masri affirmed that the ministry would double its efforts to
develop capacities of the Yemeni coastguard to enable it to do its
task of securing the Yemeni coastline and insure safety of the
international navigation affectively.
The minister renewed call of Yemen to establish international forces
in coordination with the countries overlook on red sear and under
sponsorship of the United Nations to face piracy in the Red Sea,
Arabian Sea and Indian Ocean.AH
The speeches affirmed that resistance is the only choice for
liberating Palestinian territories, calling Arab League and Islamic
Conference Organization to move quickly and adopt international
decisions for stopping the criminal aggressor.
Meanwhile speech of Yemen's Scholars delivered by Sheikh
Abdul-Majid Azindani, called on Arab and Islamic nation, subjects
and rulers to stand together and call for unifying Arab and Islamic
front for taking real measures for stopping Israeli aggression
against Gaza.
Azindani demanded Yemeni people and their leadership to send the
first relief ship to Gaza, calling mosque preachers to evoke
people's jealousy and generosity for supporting their brothers in
Palestine financially.
On the other hand, several governorates have witnessed similar
demonstrations supporting Palestinian people and denouncing Israeli
genocides committed against innocent citizens.
