Interior ministry seized 14 million drugs tablets in 2008

SANA'A, Dec. 28 (Saba)-Minister of Interior Mutahar Rashad al-Masri
said on Sunday that the ministry seized 14 million drugs tablets
and 19 tons of hashish during 2008.

In a conference on preventing drugs addiction , al-Masri said that
the police arrested 250 persons from different Arab and foreign
nationalities in charge of drugs using and commerce

He voiced his support for the hard punishments against these people
including death penalty and 20 years in jail.The minister impended
these people with hard lessons.

The two day conference is organized by the department of combating
drugs in the ministry and meddle east research center for human
studies.

It is first time to organize such conference in Yemen.
