Violence against children discussed
SANA'A, Dec. 28 (Saba)- In collaboration with Progressio
Organization and financed by the government of Ireland, Tawasul
Foundation for Human Development has held the first forum on
anti-violence against children under the title of "Toward Safe
Childhood."
Physical and psychological violence against children was the top
issue discussed by the participants in the forum.
The participants also reviewed the study's outcomes on violence
phenomenon which included Sana'a, Capital Secretariat and Hodeidah.
The forum was prepared by Supreme Council for Motherhood and
Childhood.
Director of the Tawasul Foundation Mohammad Al-kiswani confirmed the
necessity of such forum to develop the partnership between civil
society organizations and official authorities to protect children .
The forum came out with a number of recommendations to combat
violence as well as protect them from smuggling.
The violence against child phenomenon witnessed increase in the
country which required to work together to fight this phenomenon.
