Suspected drug smuggler arrested

Manama, Aug.16 (BNA): General Director of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science announced on Sunday the arrest of an Asian suspected to smuggle 3KG marijuana and 505 narcotic pills that are worth BD30000 through a joint operation between the Anti-narcotic Director and Customs Affairs. Initial investigation revealed the arrival of a quantity of drugs to Bahrain through mail packages, in which the suspect was identified and arrested red-handed while receiving the packages. They were motorcycle spare parts filled with narcotics. He said that the drugs were seized, legal proceedings were taken and the suspect was referred to the Public Prosecution.
