15 countries adopt Bahrain's vocational curricula

Manama, Aug. 16 (BNA): Fifteen countries around the world have adopted the Kingdom of Bahrain's technical and vocational education curricula in addition to training 1000 teachers to apply the curricula, according to United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) international advisor for higher, technical and vocational education Dr. Hashem Abdulwahab. Dr. Abdulwahab told Al-Watan newspaper that Bahrain's experience in public technical and vocational education has been generalised in most countries, including West African Cooperation Organisation (WACO) countries. The UNESCO expert cited the establishment of the Excellent Teachers Training Centre as one of the exemplary practices worthy of publicity, praising the Kingdom of Bahrain's unification of specialised and developed academic, technical and vocational education. He also praised Bahrain's provision of technical education for female students as a leading experience in the Arab Gulf countries.
