HRH Premier congratulated on ITU honour

Manama, Aug. 15 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has received a congratulatory cable from the Undersecretary for Agriculture and Marine Wealth at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Shaikh Khalifa bin Isa Al Khalifa on being granted the Information and Communication Technology in Sustainable Development Award by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). Speaking on behalf of the Agriculture and Marine Wealth affiliates, Shaikh Khalifa bin Isa Al Khalifa affirmed that the top ITU honour to be conferred on HRH Premier adds to his record laden with prestigious regional and global awards granted to him in recognition of his tireless efforts to enhance the kingdom’s progress. The global honouring is a living proof of HRH the Prime Minister’s sound approach in consolidating sustainable development policies in all fields for decades. He stressed that ITU's honouring of HRH Premier will promote the ITU Award further and increase its importance, given the Prime Minister’s prestigious status as the mastermind of the progress and prosperity march in the kingdom. The undersecretary prayed to Allah Almighty to grant HRH Premier abundant good health and happiness and bless the kingdom with lasting security, stability and welfare under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
