HM King hails RCO Yemen aid shipment efforts

Manama, Aug 13 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Honorary President of the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO), praised the efforts made by His Majesty the King's Representative for Charity Work and Youth Affairs and RCO's Board of Trustees Chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, in following up the delivery of 910 tons of relief and humanitarian assistance from the Kingdom of Bahrain to the brotherly Yemeni people. It was the largest shipment of humanitarian aid ever donated by Bahrain to a stricken country. HM the King greatly valued the resolve of the government led by HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa to support the RCO's efforts in delivering aid consignment to the brotherly people in Yemen. This came as HM the King today held a phone call with RCO's Sec-Gen Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayed marking the arrival of Bahrain's aid consignment at Aden International Airport. One a related matter, Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa extended deepest appreciation of HM the King's humanitarian gesture represented in providing relief aid and establishing development projects to reduce suffering of those affected in various countries of the world. He commended HM the King's directives on alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people amid the difficult circumstances they are going through. He hailed the government's support and the backing of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and First Deputy Prime Minister for the RCO. RCO's Sec-Gen expressed sincere appreciation of HM the King's support for the RCO and the follow up of Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, stressing exerting utmost efforts to embody HM the King's vision through the Royal Charity Organisation.
