HRH Premier congratulated by Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs President

Manama, Aug. 13 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received a cable of congratulations from President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs Shaikh Abdullah bin Khalid Al Khalifa on the Information and Communication Technology in Sustainable Development Award which will be granted to him by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), marking its 150th anniversary. Shaikh Abdullah described the prize as a tribute to HRH the Prime Minister for his pioneering efforts in achieving sustainable development in economic, social and environment fields and an international recognition of HRH the Premier’s major role in utilising new technologies in carrying out development strategies. He also stressed that the honour is a reflection of the great international respect enjoyed by Bahrain in the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
