HRH Premier congratulated by BFEA secretary-general

Manama, Aug. 13 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has received a cable of congratulations from the Secretary-General of the Bahrain Federation of Expatriate Associations (BFEA) Betsy Mathieson on obtaining the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Award in sustainable development. Speaking on behalf of expatriate communities in Bahrain, Betsy Mathieson extended utmost congratulations to HRH the Premier on the international honouring, lauding his landmark achievements and dedication in the service of his people and country. HRH the Prime Minister’s sound approach, far-sighted vision and wise policies have always inspired peoples and countries of the world, which, she said, is reflected in the ITU award and other prestigious prizes conferred on him, she said, adding that expatriate communities bear witness of Bahrain’s transformation from a country with small rural communities into a modern state boasting a diverse economy, outstanding services, progress boom and prosperity. "The credit in this goes to HRH Premier. His interest in details and his initiative spirit have contributed to making Bahrain a role model and an example to be emulated in the Arab World," BFEA Secretary-General said. She expressed delight at the world’s recognition of the reality in Bahrain, describing HRH the Prime Minister as a great leader, an exceptional statesman and a lively icon who loves his people. She voiced deep pride in the prestigious global honouring conferred on HRH Premier, wishing the Prime Minister further success, and the kingdom more progress and prosperity.
