Bahrain free of coronavirus

Manama, Aug.12 (BNA): The Health authorities have today officially declared Bahrain free of Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS). "A total of 1356 have been examined but they all tested negative since the viral respiratory disease broke out", said Health Ministry Public Health director Dr. Mariam Al-Hajeri. She cited the case of Bahraini woman who recently came back after performing the Umrah and was suffering from acute respiratory problems. The young woman, who was first suspected of contracting the virus, was examined by doctors who declared her free of the viral coronavirus disease (MERS ) .
