Iran condemns Israeli massive air strikes on Gaza

Tehran, Dec 28, IRNA The Islamic Republic of Iran's Foreign Ministry condemned the massive
air strikes on Gaza and urged the International Criminal Court (ICC)
to bring to justice the Israeli leaders for crimes against humanity
and war crimes in Gaza.

The ministry said that the ICC must investigate those responsible for
the crimes against humanity and the Israeli war crimes in Gaza.

The world countries and international organizations are duty bound to
defend the victims of the genocide in the Gaza Strip, the statement
added.

The savage invasion of the Zionists military forces on densely
populated city is contrary to all international rules, including the
Geneva Convention, it reiterated.

The statement further regretted that tens of Palestinian women and
children have become the victims of Israeli disproportionate and
savage attacks.

The statement urged the human community, the United Nations in
particular to help cease such operations which are examples of state
terrorism threatening the international peace and security.

Over 200 people have died and at least 800 have been wounded after
Israel fired around 30 missiles into the densely populated areas of
the Gaza city. Children, women and young cadets are among the dead.

IRNA reporter in Gaza City said that the air strikes, which are the
most intense Israel has launched against Gaza for some time, took
place as children were leaving school.
