HRH Premier's order to be implemented

Manama, Aug. 12 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has ordered to pay out BD360 to every retiree whose pension is BD700 or less. The grant, to be disbursed this month, is a token of appreciation for retirees for their long dedication in the service of the nation, and a proof of the bicameral National Assembly’s interest in pensioners. Following HRH Premier’s order, the General Organisation for Social Insurance (GOSI) and the Military Pension Fund have identified the eligible retirees, and coordinated with the Ministry of Finance to finalise all procedures to pay out the grant in August. Figures indicated that a total of 40,569 pensioners will benefit from the cash grant, with 16,770 from the private sector and 23,799 from the public one. The General Organisation for Social Insurance and the Military Pension Fund extended utmost appreciation, respect and gratitude to the government, led by HRH the Prime Minister, and the legislative branch, represented by the Representatives and Shura Councils, for the kind gesture.
