Bahrain sends humanitarian assistance to Yemen

Manama, Aug. 12 (BNA): In compliance with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to provide humanitarian assistance to the Yemeni people, and under the auspices of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa the Representative of HM the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the board of trustees of the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO), a delegation led by RCO's Secretary-General Dr. Mustafa Al Sayed left to deliver the second consignment of relief assistance to the Yemeni people in Aden International Airport to provide their basic requirements of foodstuffs and medical supplies. On this occasion, the RCO's Secretary-General, Dr. Mustafa Al Sayed, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Honorary President of the Royal Charity Organisation, following His Majesty's directives to provide relief assistance and alleviate the suffering of our brethren in Yemen who are living in difficult conditions. Dr. Al Sayed commended the RCO's support provided by the government under the leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister. Dr. Al Sayed lauded the efforts of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa in leading the charity and philanthropic work undertaken by the Royal Charity Organisation to support the needy inside the Kingdom of Bahrain and abroad in implementation of the directives of His Majesty the King. Yemeni Charge D'Affaires, Hassan Mas'ood, hailed the supportive stances of HM the King, HRH the Prime Minister and HRH the Crown Prince, and the Kingdom of Bahrain's government and people for their support to the Yemeni people. He added that Bahrain has always been at the forefront of countries which perform charity deeds and extend helping hand which reflects the genuine humanitarian spirit of the Bahraini leadership and people who have always taken leading initiatives in this domain, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain further advancement, prosperity.
