HRH Premier congratulated on ITU honour

Manama, Aug.11 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa today received a cable of congratulations from His Majesty's Advisor for Information Affairs Nabeel bin Yacoub Al-Hamer on winning the Information and Communication Technology in Sustainable Development Award, which will be conferred on him by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). Al-Hamer hailed the ITU Award which, he said, acknowledges HRH the Premier's pioneering role in supporting the achievement of sustainable development goals on the local and international levels. He underlined the Premier's track-record of international awards and medals, acknowledging Bahrain's landmark achievements, which won the recognition of the United Nations –including the UN 2006 Special Citation of the Habitat Scroll of Honour. He prayed to Allah Almighty to bless HRH the Premier with abundant health and long life and guide him on the path of success to continue his dedicated efforts for Bahrain's progress and prosperity.
