HRH Premier receives Philippines ambassador

Manama, Aug. 11 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received at the Gudaibiya Palace today the Philippines Ambassador to Bahrain Alfonso A. Ver, who introduced to him a delegation from his country, currently on a visit to the kingdom as part of a GCC tour to promote the Philippine heritage and folklore. HRH the Prime Minister praised the advanced level of the Bahrain-Philippines relations in all fields, highlighting the importance of enhancing cultural exchange to promote cultures, consolidate rapprochement among countries and people and foster human values. HRH Premier lauded the contributions of the expatriate Filipino community to Bahrain’s development march, expressing hope that bilateral cooperation will be boosted in the coming period. The Philippines envoy expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to HRH Premier for his interest in developing cooperation between the two friendly countries. He lauded the progress boom currently witnessed by the kingdom, expressing determination to enhance joint cooperation in various sectors.
