HRH Premier cogratulated on pretigious ITU award

Manama, Aug. 9 (BNA): President of the Supreme Council for Health (SCH) Lieutenant-General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa has extended congratulations to His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa on obtaining the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Award for his efforts in achieving sustainable development. The award reflects the global appreciation of the leading role played by HRH Premier in supporting technological development and achieving the goals of sustainable development at the local and international levels, he said in a statement on the occasion. He pointed out that the health sector in the kingdom applies the best available informatics systems thanks to the Prime Minister’s directives and tireless efforts over decades of dedication. Thanks to the Prime Minister’s far-sighted visions, the kingdom’s health facilities’ infrastructure has been upgraded, and the most up-to-date technological and digital devices and equipment have been provided for the sake of ensuring the best health care and services for the citizens and residents, he added, highlighting the Premier's sound directives to deliver e-transactions, provide world-standard services and train the medical staff on the latest medical and treatment technology. The SCH President affirmed that the prestigious award to be conferred on HRH the Prime Minister is a living proof of the development and progress boom witnessed by the kingdom thanks to the wise vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the support of HRH Premier and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister.
