Larijani: Iran only country to stand against US unilateralism

Tehran, Dec 27, IRNA - Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said here Friday that Iran has been the only country over the past ten years to stand against the US unilateralism.

Speaking to a group of congregational prayers leaders, Larijani said
had the bankrupt US been able to rule over the world, it would not
have shown any mercy to anybody.

He said, "We stood against the US alone and defeated the US unilateralism."
Elsewhere in his address, Larijani said the US invaded Afghanistan
under the pretext of campaign against terrorism and drugs but now
conditions in terms of drugs production in Afghanistan have become
even worse and the annual drugs production has reached 9,000 tons from
200 tons. In terms of terrorism too, conditions are worsening as
current reports testify, he added.

Referring to lowering oil prices as a "politically motivated move,"
Larijani said economic estimates show that oil price should not have
been to such an extent low but Americans did that only to pass
financial crisis to other countries.
