HRH Premier receives senior officials, citizens

Manama, Aug. 2 (BNA): Bahrain has always been fine, and will remain so thanks to the cohesion between the citizens and the leadership, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa said, affirming that the previous and recent popular patriotic stances are compelling evidence of the Bahraini people’s steadfastness and strength in withstanding all challenges. HRH Premier stressed that the government will take deterrent measures against whoever seeks to undermine the kingdom’s security and stability. "The threads of the plot have been exposed and the truth has become evident to everyone. We now know who is seeking to sow sedition to distract us from serving and developing our nation," he said as he received a number of senior state officials and citizens at the Gudaibiya Palace today. "We share the stances of those who seek to serve the nation and are keen on its progress, development, safety and territorial integrity. We do not expect to be thanked or greeted for what we are doing. This is our duty towards our nation and people, especially regarding the measures taken to protect Bahrain and achieve its security and stability," he added. HRH the Premier expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to the members of the Representatives Council for their firm stances in rejection of all forms of external interference in the kingdom’s domestic affirms, and their strong denunciation of the terror blast that targeted Sitra recently, stressing that MPs’ visits to injured policemen are appreciated by the Bahraini people and government and are a source of pride for them. HRH Premier also paid tribute to the stances voiced by various social spectra, journalists and media persons who condemned terrorist acts and foreign interference and talked clearly about those who aim to terrorise the security personnel to achieve their terrorist goals. Such stances and analyses prove the Bahraini citizens’ high awareness which, he said, has enabled them to thwart plots and resist all non-national agenda. HRH the Prime Minister recalled with the audience Bahrain’s stances towards a number of local and Arab issues, stressing that the kingdom’s firm stances against those trying to interfere in brotherly countries’ domestic affairs will continue unabated. HRH Premier called for the need to highlight the kingdom’s history so as to be followed by the present and future generations, stressing that those who know their country’s history and the success of the ancestors will be affected by them and, therefore, preserve them, being catalysts for more progress and prosperity. HRH the Prime Minister called on relevant sides, writers and intellectuals to document the kingdom’s history and make younger generations aware of national milestones so as to be inspired by the contributions of the forefathers and ancestors to the kingdom’s progress march.
