Muharraq Club launches Iran meddling condemnation document

Manama, Aug. 1 (BNA): The Muharraq Club today launched its national document against the repeated Iranian blatant interference in the kingdom’s domestic affairs, in the presence of senior state officials and citizens.
Thousands of citizens thronged to the club’s headquarters to sign the document and voice their categorical rejection of Iran’s meddling aimed at igniting tension in the kingdom in a clear violation of the good neighbourliness principles, international laws and norms, as well as the charters of the UN and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation.
Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Muharraq Club Shaikh Ahmed bin Ali bin Abdulla Al Khalifa asserted that the national document is part of the club’s patriotic stances out of its belief in the necessity to participate effectively in efforts to defend the homeland, expressing delight at the massive participation of officials and citizens, which, he said, denotes their loyalty to the nation and the leadership.
Shaikh Ahmed stressed that the Iranian officials’ statements and flagrant meddling would not impede the kingdom’s democratic march, but would make Bahrainis more resolved to attain more development and civilisational achievements under His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s pioneering Reform Project, supported by the government, led by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and backed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister.
He affirmed that all the Muharraq Club’s affiliates would remain loyal to the nation and spare no effort to support its progress and defend its gains, under HM the King’s leadership.
The club’s board chairman decided to extend the signing of the document to Sunday and Monday from 08:00 to 13:00 and 16:00 to 21:00 daily due the high turnout.
