President opens papers bags factory worth $ 10 million
HUDEIDA, Dec. 25 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh opened on
Thursday here Yemeni Limited Company's Factory for Paper Bags.
The president toured the factory's different sections and acquainted
himself with the production process in it . The factory produces
cement paper bags of high international standards.
The factory, which costs $ 10 millions, produces 100, 000 paper bags
in a daily eight hour shift. The factory now covers needs of Amran,
Al-Barh and Bagmlan cement factories' needs of paper bags. The
factory aims also to cover needs of factories under construction.
The factory plans to add second production line for covering needs
of local market and for export to abroad.
The president expressed pleasure for opening the factory that helps
in increasing work opportunities and development, affirming the
country's encouragement for establishing such factories.
Then the president paid a visit to the location of the first phase
of Assaleh Housing Project for People of Limited Income in
preparation for setting it out.
The project covers constructing 28 housing units with the total cost
estimated at YR 2.5 billion. The president argues speeding up the
project for ensuring achieving its aims.
