Shaikh Nasser praises Bahrain's endurance achievements

Manama, July 12 (BNA): The participation of Bahrain Royal Endurance Team members in Combian race in France last week has been a unique experiment for the team and reflects the care and support provided by Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee and Captain of Bahrain Royal Endurance Team to endurance and equestrian sports in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Within the achievements was the full qualification of team members Mohammed Saif Al Nairy and Mohammed Al Khatiri to the world juniors finals in Chile. Team rider Dana Al Binghadeer was also qualified to the championship and is three races away from entering the World Elite Club, while her team mate Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa has one more race to finish to join the club. Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa highlighted that the team’s achievement comes as a result of the support provided by His Majesty King Hamad Al Khalifa youth and sports movement in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa said that the latest achievement in France is a positive step that would benefit team members in their preparation for the coming championship in Chile, adding that the results achieved by the team in the beginning of the European endurance season were honourable and would have a positive impact on the performance of the team in future competitions. Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa appreciated team members for demonstrating a great performance in the competition and representing the Kingdom of Bahrain in international sports arenas. Bahrain Royal Endurance Team Director Dr. Khalid Ahmed praised HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa for his continuous care and support to the team. Dr. Khalid affirmed that the team’s achievement comes as a result of the continuous directives of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa. In Combian race in France, Bahrain Royal Endurance Team members Yousif Al Jabbouri and Nasser Al Otaibi bagged the second and third places at the competition, finishing in 05:42:13 and 05:44:44 respectively. They thanked HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa for his constant care and support.
