HM the King's support to Palestinians lauded

Occupied Jerusalem, July 12 (BNA): Al-Quds and the Palestinian Territories Grand Mufti Sheikh Mohamed Hussein has lauded the efforts of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in supporting the Palestinian people and championing its cause. He said that the Bahrain Public Library in the Old City in Jerusalem is a Sadaqa jariya (continuous charity) for HM the King, given its crucial cultural importance, and the dire need of the city for public libraries. He also commended the efforts of the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO), led by HM the King’s Personal Representative for Charity Work and Youth Affairs and RCO Board of Trustees Chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, in delivering charity and humanitarian work with competence and professionalism. HM King Hamad’s efforts in helping the Palestinians was also praised by Jerusalem Governor Adnan Al-Husseini, who also lauded the support of the government, led by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and the backing of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister. The governor also praised the continuous efforts of RCO, led by Shaikh Nasser, to support the Palestinians, noting that the Bahraini leadership, government and people are first supporters of the Palestinian people on all occasions and circumstances. Jerusalem Grand Mufti and Governor made the statements as they received here RCO’s delegation, led by its Secretary-General Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayed, currently on a visit to Palestinian territories to inaugurate the Bahrain Public Library in Jerusalem’s Old City, following directives from HM the King and Shaikh Nasser. Dr. Al-Sayed conveyed greetings from HM King Hamad and Shaikh Nasser to the brotherly Palestinian people, stressing that the delegation’s solidarity visit aims to re-affirm the kingdom’s support, and foster the cultural aspect in Jerusalem. The delegation also met Nabuls Governor Akram Al-Rajoub and Jericho and Al Aghwar Governor Majed Al-Fityani, who praised Bahrain’s development projects and relief aid delivered to the Palestinians.
