Bahrain condemns terror attack

Manama, July 11 (BNA) The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain condemns the terrorist act that targeted the premises of the Consulate of the Italian Republic in the Arab Republic of Egypt on Saturday, killing one person and wounding others, stressing that this terrorist act is contrary to all human and moral values, and is a violation of all international laws and norms and an infringement of the immunity enjoyed by the premises of diplomatic missions. While the Foreign Ministry extends its sincere condolences and sympathy to the relatives and families of the martyr and wishes for a speedy recovery to all the injured as a result of this cowardly terrorist act, it confirms the support of the Kingdom of Bahrain for all the steps taken by the Arab Republic of Egypt in order to establish security and strengthen stability and achieve the aspirations of the Egyptian people for further development and prosperity, as well as its support to the efforts and the positions of the Italian Republic that back the efforts of the international community aimed at defeating and eliminating these terrorist groups. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain renews its firm stance in rejecting all forms of terrorism, and calling for the intensification of international efforts to eliminate this dangerous scourge which constitutes a continuing threat to security and to peace in the region and the world at large.
