Man`s body found south of Melbourne

Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a man found in grassland south of Melbourne.
The man, who has not yet been identified, was found about 3pm (AEDT) on Thursday near Point Leo Road in Merricks, on the Mornington Peninsula.
His family have not been informed of the death, police said.
A crime scene has been established by Victoria Police and no further information is yet available.
