Foreign minister receives BTECH chairman

Manama, July 9 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa received here today the Chairman of Bahrain Technology Companies Society (BTECH) Ubaydli Ubaydli and a number of the members of the society. The Minister welcomed Ubaydli Ubaydli and praised the efforts of BTECH in promoting Bahrain status in the field of information and communication technologies. He commended Bahrain’s Technology Companies' role in creating a positive atmosphere for creation and innovation. He further stressed the support of the ministry for the events and activities organised by BTECH in order to develop the telecommunications and information technology sector, which, he said, has contributed significantly to the national income and become one of its pillars for the vital role it played in attracting foreign investments. He noted the rapid ongoing development in this sector as well as the Kingdom’s massive potentials. BTECH Chairman briefed the Minister on the participation of the Kingdom of Bahrain at the upcoming China World's Fair for Investment and Trade, which will be held in Xiamen City on 8 -11 September 2015. He reiterated BTECH resolve to strengthening ties and partnership with all corporations operating in this field to benefit Bahrain’s economy.
