Paris to host next meeting of Azerbaijan-France intergovernmental economic commission

Baku, July 6, AZERTAC Azerbaijani Minister of Finance Samir Sharifov has today met a delegation led by Minister of State for Foreign Trade of France, state secretary on the Promotion of Tourism and French Nationals Abroad Matthias Fekl. Minister Samir Sharifov informed the delegation on Azerbaijan's recent socio-economic successes achieved under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, and praised bilateral ties between the two countries. Mr. Sharifov said French companies were successfully operating in Azerbaijan, noting reciprocal visits make contribution to expanding relations between the two countries. Matthias Fekl hailed the excellent organization of the First European Games and noted that the next meeting of the Azerbaijan-France intergovernmental economic commission would be held in Paris. Mr. Fekl highlighted great opportunities for further expanding bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and France. They also discussed other issues of mutual concern.
