AIDMO expects wide horizons for Yemeni industries

MUKALLA, Dec. 23 (Saba)- Director General of the Arab Industrial
Development and Mining Organization AIDMOMohammed bin Yousif has
expected wide horizons for the Yemen transformed industries
especially food industries.

The oil sector should not control on Yemeni exports, bin Yousif said in his remarks
to Saba.He added that
his current visit was to coordinate efforts between the organization
and the ministry of industry and trade in Yemen to present technical
program to develop the Yemeni products.

He said that the organization has promised to present a technical study to help
Yemen to come out
from the reduce demand on Yemeni products in addition to a study
over developing means of marketing and promotion for these products.

The director of the Arab organization said the industrial condition
in Yemen was weak as the oil dominates around 90 percent of the
Yemeni exports, in time of the transformed industries form 7 percent
of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
