HR minister receives human rights activists

SANA'A, Dec. 23 (Saba)- The Minister of Human Rights held a meeting
on Tuesday with the delegation of the Geneva Institute for Human
Rights Nizar Abdul-Qadar over cooperation between the ministry and
the institute in field of human rights.

The director of the institute reviewed possibilities of the future
cooperation between the ministry and the institute especially in
building national capacities, pointing out to the report prepared by
the institute over human rights condition.

He said the four-year report presents to the human rights council of
the United Nations.Next February, Yemen will present a report on
human rights condition, obstacles and possibilities of offering
assistance in this regard.The report will be discussed by next may.

On the other hand, the minister met delegation of the Future
Organization over view of the ministry to improve national
capacities in sphere of the human rights and activating partnership
with the civil society organizations.The delegation is currently
visiting Yemen headed by head of the operations in the organization
and responsible person of funding for Iraq and Yemen at the
organization.AH
