Yemen, Russia exchange consulate agreement approval document

SANA'A, Dec. 23 (Saba) - Yemen and Russia signed here on Tuesday the
protocol of exchanging the consulate agreement approval document
between the two countries.

The agreement was signed by Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Muthana
Hassan and the Russian ambassador to Sana'a Vladimir Trofimov.

After the signing, Hassan affirmed that the agreement is a part of
the current preparations for President Ali Abdullah Saleh's visit to
Russia to be paid earlier in 2009.

It will provide an appropriate atmosphere to enhance bilateral
relations in economic, trade and cultural fields.

For his part, Trofimov expressed Russia's desire to deepen the
historic relations with Yemen, noting that there are various areas
to develop the bilateral relations between the two friendly
countries.
