HRH Premier arrives in Kuwait

Kuwait, June 22 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa arrived in Kuwait today on a brotherly visit during which he will meet Kuwaiti Amir Shaikh Sabah Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah, Crown Prince Shaikh Nawaf Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah and Prime Minister Shaikh Jaber Al Mubarak Al Hamad Al Sabah to discuss ways of further bolstering bilateral relations and cooperation. HRH the Prime Minister was welcomed on arrival at the airport by his Kuwaiti counterpart and his deputies, senior officials and both countries' ambassadors. In a statement he delivered on arrival, HRH the Premier expressed happiness about visiting Kuwait. He congratulated the Kuwaiti leadership and people on the holy month of Ramadan, describing the visit as an annual tradition that reflects the specificity of the Bahraini-Kuwaiti relations. He also conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the government and the Bahraini people as well as their best wishes of continuous progress and prosperity to Kuwait under its wise leadership. HRH the Premier said his visit to Kuwait mirrors deep rooted historic relations between both countries, strong ties of fraternal cooperation, harmony in stances and keenness to further enhance coordination amid the current regional circumstances. He added the meeting with the Kuwaiti Amir is an opportunity to build on previous achievements and exchange views on regional and international issues of common concern. "The worrying situation in the region and its repercussions require finding appropriate solutions to the crises so as to preserve security and stability, steer the region clear of conflicts and tensions and direct all efforts to development," HRH the Prime Minister asserted, thanking the Kuwaiti Amir for his outstanding contributions to overcoming critical regional upheavals thanks to his wisdom and balanced policy.
