Capital governor: Ramadan revives Bahraini traditions

Manama, June 19 (BNA): Capital Governor Shaikh Hesham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa has extended sincere congratulations to the leadership, citizens and residents in the kingdom, as well as the Islamic and Arab nations marking the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, wishing them many happy returns.
He said that Ramadan is a month in which worshippers seek forgiveness, blessings and rewards.
It is also an opportunity to revive the deep-rooted Bahraini traditions of solidarity, love and interaction between members of the one-family Bahraini society, noting that the Ramadan Majlises reflect cohesion among all segments of the Bahraini people.
He pointed out that the Capital Governorate’s weekly Majlis will be held every Thursday evening, in line with the governorate’s keen interest to provide a platform for all segments to meet and consolidate genuine Bahraini traditions.
On the governorate’s preparations for the holy month of Ramadan, he said that a number of programmes and events will be held, including the fourth edition of the "Nation of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH)", to be launched on June 26 at the Isa Cultural Centre, with the participation of a number of key religious figures.
Events also include the celebration of Gargaon, to be held at Seef Mall on July 2, he said.
