NIHR's committee convenes

Manama, June 18 (BNA): The Economic, Social and Cultural Rights Committee at the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) convened here today under the chairmanship of Fareed Ghazi. The 13th meeting was also attended by Dr. Abdulrahman Jaweheri. The panel reviewed the NIHR’s visions regarding a draft law on domestic workers (proposed by the Representatives Council), and another on the issuance of the Legal Profession’s Law (Submitted by the Shura Council), made remarks about them ahead of referring them to the competent sides in the Representatives and Shura councils. The committee also discussed the recommendations of the "Social Rights Forum" on the rights of persons with disabilities, held by NIHR at the premises of Al-Hekma Retired Society on June 3. The panel decided to hold its next meeting on July 12.
