Gulf Air receives Umrah packages beneficiaries

Manama, June 18 (BNA): 21 pilgrims, selected to partake in Bahrain’s national carrier’s "Umrah Packages" initiative, recently visited Gulf Airheadquarters and met with senior airline officials alongside representatives from three Umrah contractors: Al Mowasim, Al Sharaf and Sohaib Al Roumi. The meeting follows Gulf Air’s collaboration with the local Umrah contractors to give pilgrims wishing to visit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah but with insufficient funds to do so, free, comprehensive Umrah packages including flights, accommodation and dedicated guides - valid until the end of 2015. Gulf Air prides itself on having a special connection with the Bahraini community, and is involved in various Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives with a number of local organizations. The airline continues to give back to the community through activities such as sponsoring events, supporting charities and local initiatives.Earlier this month, the airline collaborated with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) office in Bahrain to celebrate World Environment Day and raise environmental awareness amongst all members of the local community. During the holy month of Ramadanthe airline will carry out its annual drive to distribute iftar meal boxes to drivers across the Kingdom helping to facilitate the breaking of fast around Bahrain.
