Bahrain bodybuilders results hailed

Manama, June 9 (BNA): Bahrain’s national bodybuilding team’s recent achievement was given double thumbs up by top Bahrain sports officials. The nationals took six medals, including one gold, two silver and three bronze at the 49th Asian Championship in Tokyo Japan. Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) general secretary Abdulrahman Askar congratulated the team members as he received them at the Bahrain International Airport, in the presence of BOC sports federations director Hisham Al Balooshi, Bahrain Weightlifting and Bodybuilding Federation (BWBF) board members Ali Abdulla and Bassim Jenaid. Askar commended the team results and overall performance, which underlines the continued development of bodybuilding in the Kingdom of Bahrain. He conveyed the greetings of His Majesty the King Representative for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports chairman and BOC president Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa to the delegation, and his best wishes for them. Askar stressed that the BOC will spare no efforts in providing all means of support to the federation in order to continue play its part in preparing the athletes for international competitions and reflect Bahrain’s bright image globally.
