Premier to patronise foundation stone-laying ceremony

Manama, June 9 (BNA): A ceremony will be held tomorrow morning (Wednesday) to lay the foundation stone of Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa Specialist Cardiac Centre. His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa will partronise the ceremony at the site of the project in Awali. The Premier's patronage reflects his keenness on constructing modern hospitals and centres which provide premium health services and medical care. The new state-of-the-art specialist cardiac centre is a value-added medical milestone in the diagnosis and treatment of heart diseases in Bahrain. Financed by Abu Dhabi Development Fund, the medical hub includes in its ground floor outpatient clinics, a department of radiology and imaging, a pharmacy, physiotherapy and sterilisation wards, in addition to parking lots and other services. The second floor comprises the operation theatres, intensive care units (ICU) and the lab, in addition to other wards for men, women and children. The new specialist cardiac centre has a potential for expansion to include more wards. The new medical milestone is part of vital projects which are planned and executed under the direct supervision of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF).
