Arab Administrative Development Organization Forum concludes

Manama, June 4 (BNA): Arab Administrative Development Organization (ARADO) Forum concluded today with the participation of Arab and international senior government officials, parliamentarians, representatives from ministries of administrative development and planning, telecommunications and information, academics, and researchers. The forum held in collaboration with Governance Programme (MENA - OECD) under the theme (Public Governance and the Role of Citizens in Shaping the Open Government Dialogue) on 2-4 June 2015 in the City of Caserta, Italy. ARADO Assistant Director-General, Chairman of the Forum, Dr. Nasser Al-Qahtani, said the forum discussed the development of policies based on information and resource management in the decision-making process, which contributes to increasing the confidence in government work and strengthening workers' aptitude. He added that the forum reached a number of recommendations, including enhancing local accountability culture to contribute to improve services and local development, activating mechanisms and practices of transparency, accountability, and promoting citizen participation in decision-making.
