Deputised by HM the King, BDF Commander-in-Chief patronises graduation ceremony

Manama, June 3 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa deputised today BDF Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa to attend the graduation ceremony of the 7th Joint Command and Staff Session, held under the patronage of HM the King at the Royal Command and Staff College (RCSC). On arrival, the BDF Commander-in-Chief was welcomed by Defence Affairs Minister Lieutenant General Yousef bin Ahmed Al Jalahma, BDF Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Dhiab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Director of Military Security Major General Hassan Mohammed Sa'ad and RCSC Commander Rear Admiral Abdullah Said Al Mansouri. The BDF Commander-in-Chief wished the Saudi forces deployed on the borders of Saudi Arabia every success in performing their duties, praying to Allah Almighty to protect them. He conveyed the greetings of HM the King and his congratulations on completion of the session, welcoming the officers from the armed forces of brotherly countries who took part in it and wishing them every success. Addressing the graduates, he stressed that obtaining the Master Degree in military sciences was a step forward in assuming future responsibilities, facing challenges and taking decisions regarding them. He thanked the lecturers, the teaching staff and the college commandership for the efforts exerted during the session. Pointing out the ambient dangers in the region ignited by greed and ambition of some countries to impose their leverage, he said the Saudi-led Decisive Storm and Restoring Hope operations aimed at protecting Yemen and the legitimate government there as well as carrying out the UN Security Council's resolutions concerning threats posed to the Yemeni people by the terrorist militias. He paid tribute to the GCC leaders for their success in regaining the Arab and Islamic prestige and reproducing the Arab ideology apart from ethnic and sectarian instincts. He also warned of the danger of the terrorist groups who are acting under the cloak of religion to serve some countries' agendas aimed at driving wedges and creating a rift in national unity by igniting a sectarian war and terrorising people, in breach of all Islamic precepts of peace, security, tolerance and co-existence. The BDF Commander-in-Chief urged the graduates to be up to the sacred responsibility entrusted with them in defending the nation and serving it. Then, after a speech given by the RCSC Commander, Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa and the audience watched a documentary on the session. At the end of the celebration, the BDF Commander-in-Chief presented the graduates and top achievers with their certificates and prizes of appreciation. The graduation ceremony was attended by Chairman of the Supreme Health Council and Head of the High Medical Committee Lieutenant General Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Head of the Military Office of HM the King, the BDF Supreme Commander, Shaikh Abdullah bin Salman Al Khalifa, Supreme Defence Council Secretary General Lieutenant General Shaikh Daij bin Salman Al Khalifa, Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi, ambassadors of the participating officers' countries, the Military Security Director, the President of the University of Bahrain, the Military Attaches of the participating officers' countries and BDF senior officers.
