Social Development Minister receives EU Special Representative for Human Rights

Manama, June 2 (BNA): Social Development Minister Faeqa bint Said Al Saleh received the EU Special Representative for Human Rights Stavros Lambrinidis and his accompanying delegation. She stressed strong relations between Bahrain and the EU, lauding growing cooperation in promoting human rights. She also updated the EU official about the main programmes and projects of the Social Development Ministry, including the services provided by the National Centre for Supporting Non-Government Organisations, being one of the ministry's achievements to boost performance of the non-government organisations (NGOs). The EU Special Representative for Human Rights lauded the quality services provided by the Social Development Ministry for all citizens, wishing Bahrain more progress and prosperity.
