HRH Premier's directives to set up specialised hospitals hailed

Manama, June 2 (BNA): Health Minister Sadiq bin Abdulkareem Al-Shehabi has lauded His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa's directives to conduct a study on establishing specialised hospitals and research centres in the kingdom that attract world class experts and specialists. The minister affirmed that HRH Premier's directives reflect the constant support allocated by the leadership to the health sector. They also prove HRH Premier's personal follow-up on issues related to the needs of the Bahraini citizens, and keenness to fulfill them. He highlighted the importance of encouraging investors, businessmen and the private sector to invest in the health field, attract world class consultants and establish specialised hospitals that meet the needs of the citizens. He said that a number of state-of-the-art medical facilities will be built in the kingdom, citing the Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa Specialist Heart Centre in Awali, the Oncology Centre at the King Hamad University Hospital, a Dialysis centre for kidney patients, drug abuse rehabilitation centre, a diabetes centre and a centre for Multiple sclerosis patients. He affirmed that the establishment of specialised hospitals would help diagnose difficult cases and spare Bahraini patients the need to travel abroad and seek treatment.
