Iranian arts exhibition underway in Syria
Tehran, Dec 22, IRNA - An exhibition of Iranian arts including Quran calligraphy, miniature,
illumination, book and painting opened in Damascus late on Saturday.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by Culture and Islamic Guidance
Minister Mohammad Hossein Saffar-Harandi and his Syrian counterpart
Riyadh Nassan Agha as well as Iran's ambassador to the ountry Ahmad
Moussavi.
The event is being held as part of the programs marking Iran's
Cultural Week in Syria.
Books on the late founder of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khomeini, his
ideas and works, on Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei,
poetry, history and Iran's culture are among the most important
printed material on display at the event.
A large number of Iranian artists, most of whom are women, have put on
display their works at the exhibition.
