Hyundai Mipo wins revised order for six vessels
SEOUL, Dec. 22 (Yonhap) -- Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Co., a unit of Hyundai Heavy
Industries Co., said Monday that an order it received earlier has been revised
and is worth 37 percent more than the original value.
The shipbuilder said in a regulatory filing that it has won a new contract valued
at 339 billion won (US$259 million), compared with the 249 billion won it earlier
agreed to in May.
The new order calls on Hyundai Mipo to build three bulk carriers and three
chemical ships, instead of six bulk carriers, the company said.
Shares of Hyundai Mipo were trading at 149,000 won on the Seoul bourse as of 2:45
p.m., up 2.76 percent.
