Annual meeting of non-government organizations of children

SANA'A, Dec. 21 (Saba)- General assembly of Yemeni non-government
organizations of children care started on Sunday its annual meeting
in Sana'a over its plan for 2009-2012 and shadow report on situation
of children in Yemen.

In the meeting, the deputy minister of social affairs and labor for
development sector Ali Saleh Abdullah highlighted efforts exerted by
the assembly in filed of children care, affirming importance of
partnership between the government and organizations of the civil
society in children protection.

For his part, the secretary general of the higher council of
motherhood and childhood Nafisah al-Jaifi pointed out to the
importance of the meeting and its outcomes on coordination between
the societies and non governmental organization to enhance role and
partnership of these organizations in sphere of children care.

Around assembly includes 35 organizations of children care in Taiz,
Sana'a, Aden, Hadramout, Hodeidah, and Hajjah.AH
