Bahraini-Egyptian media cooperation discussed

Manama, May 20 (BNA): Information Affairs Minister Isa bin Abdulrahman Al-Hamadi commended Egypt's supportive stance toward national, Gulf and Arab security. The minister stressed that the participation of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in Sharm Al-Sheikh international conference to support the development of the Egyptian economy, and also his participation in the recent Arab Summit reflects Bahrain's realization of the importance of enhancing Egypt's leading standing at the regional and international level, for Egypt's security, stability and progress constitute a source of strength for both Arab and Islamic nations. This came during the minister's visit, accompanied by Bahrain's Ambassador to Egypt Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa and the accompanying media delegation, to a number of Egyptian research and press organizations, on the sidelines of the meetings of Arab Council of Ministers in Cairo. The minister discussed means of enhancing cooperation and exchange of expertise with the Information and Decision Support Center at the Egyptian Cabinet. He visited Al-Ahram headquarters and met with Chairman Ahmed Al-Najjar, Editor-in-Chief Mohamad Abdelhadi Allam, a number of editors, journalists and columnists, and was briefed on Al-Ahram various publications. He met with Dar Akhbar Al-Yom Board Chairman Yasser Rizq and discussed ways to boost cooperation. He also reviewed media cooperation with Board Chairman of Dar Al-Tahreer printing and publishing establishment. He lauded the Egyptian leading experience in press, media and researches, stressing standing against the misleading campaigns aim at undermining security and stability of Arab countries. Egyptian journalists and media figures took pride in Bahrain's interest in bolstering cooperation, hailing development and achievements taking place in Bahrain, and its resolve to support Egypt's security, stability and development and economic march under the wise leaderships of HM the King and Egyptian President Abdulfatah Al-Sisi.
