Iran-Syria cultural cooperation excellent
Damascus, Dec 21, IRNA - Cultural cooperation between Iran and Syria are excellent, the deputy head of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) said.
Speaking to IRNA, Mehdi Imanipour, who is in Syria to take part in
Iran's Cultural Week in Damascus, added that Iran has paved the way
for cultural activities by Syria and there is no limit on expansion of
cultural relations.
Describing Persian language as a suitable ground for developing
cultural ties with Syria, Imanipour underlined the need for promoting
Persian language and culture by Iran's Cultural Office in that country.
He hoped that suitable grounds would be created for conveying cultural
concepts by holding Persian language courses.
Commenting on the objectives of cultural week, he noted that the event
seeks to introduce different aspects of Iran's art, literature,
civilization and culture.
Culture and Islamic Guidance Minister Mohammad Hossein Saffar-Harandi
is in Syria at the head of a delegation to attend the event.
Iran's Cultural Week opened in Damascus on Saturday and will continue
until December 25.
