Bahraini-Dutch human rights cooperation discussed

Manama, May 20 (BNA): Ombudsman Nawaf Al-Maawda received Human Rights Ambassador of the Netherlands, Kees van Baar, and briefed him on the Ombudsman Office and Prisoners and the Detainees Rights Commission and their efforts to promote human rights and humane treatment, particularly regarding the monitoring of detention, reformation and rehabilitation centres. Al-Maawda underlined the keen interest of the Ombudsman Office on cooperation with international institutions and organisations to exchange views and opinions with respect to the work of the Ombudsman Office and Prisoners and Detainees Rights Commission.
