HR minister affirms importance of partnership between SCOs and state
SANA'A, Dec. 20 (Saba)-The Minister of Human rights Huad al-Baan
affirmed on Saturday importance of the partnership between the
civil society organizations of human rights and government bodies.
In a ceremony held on launching "Yemen Partnership" program by the
European Union to enhance woman and children rights in Yemen in
cooperation and coordination with ministry and the organization
within annual anniversary of human rights declaration, al-Bann
called for creating structural mechanism for the cooperation between
these organizations and the state bodies.
The minister asked all to shoulder their responsibility to spread knowledge among
society
about the rights of individuals, calling on marking the anniversary
to be step to enhance human rights in Yemen.
The European Union representative to Yemen Michele Cervone D'urso said that the aim
of the program is to promote and strengthen principles of the human
rights especially rights of women and children.AH
