New strategy to modernize civil affairs services
SANA'A, Dec. 19 (Saba) - Head of the Authority of Civil Affairs and
Civil Record (ACACR) Rashid Jarhum said that the authority has
drafted a strategy to modernize the civil affairs and record
services up to 2015.
The move comes after specialized field teams surveyed
comprehensively the civil record and found out that turnout was not
sufficient as people come to the authority in times of need, Jarhum
said.
The strategy would come into affect in 2015 once we have completed
the basic population data at the governorate and country levels.
Under the strategy we will work to issue intelligent ID cards which
will contain electronic cards to restore information related to
people's civil and electoral data.
