Quran Award winners honoured

Manama, May 7 (BNA): The Ministry of Education has allocated scholarships for students who memorise Holy Qur'an with full command among outstanding high school graduates. Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi announced the move as he attended a ceremony in honour of the winners of the Quran memorization contest, in the presence of MPs. A total of 65 schools were honoured out of 207 establishments which participated in the competition during the school year 2014-2015. The minister has also honoured 81 outstanding students out of 460 contestants who took part in the annual Quran Award Competition (Mezmar). Dr. Al-Nuaimi has also honoured the jury and the staff in charge of the Education Ministry Quran Award, in addition to the educational and administrative staff.
