National Guard Staff Director inspects unit readiness

Manama, May 7 (BNA): The Director of Staff in the National Guard, Major-General Shaikh Abdul-Aziz bin Saud Al Khalifa, inspected the National Guard (NG)'s Special Operations Unit. The National Guard's Staff Director was briefed by the Unit's Commander HH Major Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa about the unit's training and operational programmes being implemented, current plans to boost its readiness as well as developmental phases and future plans aimed to boost readiness. Major-General Shaikh Abdul-Aziz bin Saud Al Khalifa the Director of Staff in the National Guard praised the level attained by the Special Operations Unit through training programmes held and implemented by the unit as well as the vivid picture reflected in tactical drills recently implemented which showed the units high level of combat readiness, capacity to implement its assigned duties in participation with other National Guard units in safeguarding the Homeland and its citizens and preservation of national accomplishments and gains.
